Gas Pressure Cell 10PG10CB12
This cell is made from hardened CuBe. It has a Ø12 x 57 mm i.e. 6.4 mL sample volume and uses helium as pressure medium. The pressure is generated using a standard gas compressor. For powders, the sample is inserted in a thin capsule made from aluminium alloy (AG3 i.e. EN AW-5754).
The maximum pressure is 100 MPa i.e. 1 kbar up to 300°C. As it is non-magnetic, it may be used on a polarised neutron instrument or inside a cryomagnet.
