XOP plugins for IGOR Pro

IGOR Pro External Operations (XOPs)

Igor Pro, from WaveMetrics, is an interactive software environment for experimentation with scientific and engineering data and for the production of publication-quality graphs and page layouts. Used by tens of thousands of technical professionals since its introduction in 1989, Igor Pro combines powerful tools with an easy to use, point and click interface for the casual user together and a programming environment for the sophisticated user.

Igor Pro’s plugin technology extends the built-in functionality with custom tools for data acquisition, instrument control and computational tasks. We provide a few plugins which may help you perform neutron scattering experiments.

ModBus XOP (v1.08 - March 2020)

Command line operations described here are added to Igor Pro. Modbus adds no menu items or dialogs to Igor. The exact settings you use depend on the instrument you are talking to. The important thing is that you know what your instrument expects and what the Modbus operations do so that you can coordinate them.

NOMAD XOP (v1.01 - October 2009)

NOMAD is an XOP that implements CORBA I/O between Igor Pro and MAD or NOMAD at the Institut Laue Langevin. This XOP is based upon the omniORB library:

The command line operation CORBA described here is added to Igor Pro. This XOP adds no menu items or dialogs to Igor. The data exchanged between Igor and MAD or NOMAD are defined in the IDL description file.

Neutron Scattering XOP (v1.20 - August 2008)

This external operation adds a set of functions which are useful for analyzing data from neutron scattering, especially with polarised beams. The new version provides 46 functions which are described here.
