  • Neutron spectroscopy in condensed matter physics.
  • Supported metal nanoparticle catalysis
  • Lattice dynamics in disordered oxides,
  • Lattice dynamics and magnetic excitations interplay in superconductors
  • Density functional theory and for lattice dynamics analysis
  • Ab-initio molecular dynamics to study diffusion and disordering affects

Technical Developments

  • Development of new instrumentation for neutron scattering (triple axis spectrometers).
  • Experimental techniques: Neutron spectroscopy, X-ray absorption spectroscopy, IR, Raman, adsorption isotherms, TPD

Computational/theoretical methods

Ab-initio molecular dynamics simulations, density functional theory calculations. Extensive use of of Monte-Carlo ray-tracing simulations.
