In 2018 the ESS and the ILL inaugurated a collaborative European User Meeting, conducted biennially and alternating between the two facility. These meetings provide the opportunity to review the achievements of the user community, present the current status of the two facilities and, most importantly, look forward to the opportunities ahead for neutron science.
In 2022 the meeting was held in Lund, Sweden. This year's event is scheduled for December 10-11 Grenoble (venue: Minatec Congress Centre). The event spans over two days, from lunchtime to lunchtime, featuring exclusively plenary sessions.
