The Scientific Council
The Scientific Council advises the Directors on scientific priorities for the Institute and how to develop the instrument suite and technical infrastructure in order to best meet the needs of the user research programme. It also assesses the scientific output of the Institute.
The Scientific Council is composed of 15 members representing the Associates and the Scientific Members and meets twice a year. The chairs of the subcommittee meetings are also invited to join these meetings. (Click to see the list of members)
The Scientific Council reports back to the Steering Committee, our governing body, which has the ultimate responsibility for determining operational and investment strategies for the Institute.
Next Scientific Council will be on 12-13 April 2018, at the ILL. It will be preceded by the Subcommittee meetings.
