Paris-Edinburgh Pressure Cells

ILL provides VX-1 and VX-5 type Paris-Edinburgh cells. There are cells loaded with Florinert for room-temperature experments and cells loaded with He gas for low-temperature experiments in a 4 K dedicated cryostat. A third VX-1 type cell was built in hardened CuBe to allow polarised neutron experiments to be carried out up to 4 GPa (40 kbar). All cells are provided with TiZr gaskets.

These high-pressure cells are available on request. Sufficient advance notice to sane(at)ill.fr is required for their reservation and preparation.
