Frequently Asked Questions

Radioprotection agents will pass by the Verification Stations at 10:30 and 15:00 from Monday to Friday.  You should receive e-mails with the outcome of the verification within approximately 30 minutes of these times.

You are welcome to bring your samples in person to the Verification Station when Radioprotection agents will be present, at 10:30 and 15:00 from Monday to Friday.  The agent can then verify your sample wth you present.Whether you are present or not, be sure to create a QR code for every sample or batch of samples.

For computing and QR printing problems, you may call the ILL HelpDesk (extension 7013) anytime from 8:00-16:30 from Monday to Friday.

You may declare you samples at any time during your experiment, day or night, up to the point when you would like to have them verified post-experiment.  Samples without a QR code will not be verified, and unverified samples cannot be taken from the ILL.

No. These computers are only for use by ILL Radioprotection Agents.

No. This computer is only for sample declaration and printing of QR codes.  For public computer needs, you are welcome to pass by the ILL HelpDesk in ILL19 where there is a selection of  'Free Service' computers.

Knucklehead. You can print another QR code from the 'View my samples' panel on the home page of the computer at the Declaration Station. Click on the panel, enter the e-mail address that you used to create the QR code, find the relevant sample declaration, and click on it. You should be directed to a webpage summarising the sample declaration. There is a 'Print QR code' button on this page. You can click this button to print another QR code for your sample.
