Current interests

• Kondo effect and magnetic interactions in unconventional superconductors

• Quantum magnetism and spin liquids (e.g. Kitaev interactions, spin ice)

• Uniaxial strain control of magnetic ground states

• Polarized neutron techniques

 

Technical experience

• In-situ tunable neutron/µSR uniaxial strain cell (now in ORNL user program)

• Uniaxial strain cell for high voltage (e.g. multiferroics)

• Msorber, a program for single crystal neutron absorption corrections

• Rare earth single ion modeling with Quanty

• Neutron, muon, and x-ray techniques primarily at PSI, ILL, ISIS, Diamond, and ORNL
