Chemistry Laboratories

The Chemistry and Soft Matter support laboratoriesprovidelaboratoryspace and instruments for samplepreparation, sample handling, sampleselection/quality check and complementarycharacterization. They are part of the Biology, Deuteration, Chemistry and Soft matter Group  (BDCS Group) of the ILL Science Division.

The main lab facilities are located in the Science Building, with the Chemistry Laboratories on the first floor and the PSCM Laboratories on the second floor. In addition, three sample preparation laboratories can be found in the guide halls ILL7 and ILL22. For more detailed information about the location and content of each  laboratory, please check here.

The soft matter support isorganizedwithin the framework of the Partnership for Soft Condensed Matter (PSCM). This partnershipbetween the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) and the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) aims at providingusers and staff of both institutes with a suite of instruments for samplepreparation and characterization.
