07- 18 September 2026 in Jülich, Germany & Grenoble, France
Each year, the Jülich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS) at Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany, organizes a two-week laboratory course in neutron scattering in cooperation with RWTH Aachen University.
The first week consists of lectures and exercises in Jülich, while the second week is a hands-on training at a neutron research reactor offering different neutron scattering experiments to every participant.
This year, the second week takes place at the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) in Grenoble, France.
Our course is aimed at Master's and PhD students, but early career postdocs with little or no experience with neutron scattering are also welcome to apply. All selected applicants will receive free accommodation (in shared 2-4 person rooms) and half-board, as well as financial support with travel expenses.
