Martin Walter

Martin Walter has been Head of Administration at the ILL since 2020.

He studied computer science and economics, joined the ILL in 1996 and worked in IT until 2006. Following the completion of an MBA, he took on the role of Deputy Head of Administration.

In 2015 Martin Walter was appointed Senior Advisor to the Directos with the main role of providing advice to the Directors on organisational and financial strategy and on governance issues at the Institute. 

As Head of the Administration Divison, he supervises and coordinates the provision of appropriate administrative services and advice to the Institute's Directors and staff. He directly oversees the following areas: human resources management, financial and accounting planning, procurement, legal and contractual matters, and the translation office.
