Gas Pressure Cell 07PG30CB6

This cell is made from hardened CuBe. It has a Ø6 x 70 mm, i.e. 2 ml, sample volume and uses helium as the pressure medium. The pressure is generated using a standard gas compressor. For powders, the sample is inserted in a thin capsule made from aluminium alloy (AG3 i.e. EN AW-5754).

The maximum pressure is 300 MPa, i.e. 3 kbar up to 300°C. As it is non-magnetic, it may be used on a polarised neutron instrument or inside a cryomagnet.
