The conference brings together researchers interested in how complexity in atomic structure—periodic, aperiodic, and disordered—emerges and governs the physical properties of materials. The conference focuses on systems in which long range periodic or aperiodic order, disorder, local structure play a central role in determining electronic, magnetic, dynamical, and functional behavior.

The 10th International Topical Meeting on Neutron Radiography (ITMNR-10) will be held in Village Club Les Balcons du Lac d'Annecy, France, from October 12-16, 2026. This will be the 10th conference in the ITMNR series being coordinated by the International Society for Neutron Radiography (ISNR). Layer-by-layer self-assembled structures of the blood-clotting glycoprotein fibrinogen have been resolved at a fluid interface using neutron reflectometry and complementary techniques to reveal an unexpected mechanism that contradicts a long-established adsorption model. MDANSE is a three-day, hands-on workshop where participants work through both the conceptual foundations and practical workflows behind calculating dynamical and vibrational properties of materials. Density functional theory, lattice dynamics, and classical molecular dynamics will be used to generate realistic simulated data, including inelastic and quasi-elastic neutron scattering spectra. The computational toolkit ASE is also introduced as part of the curriculum.
