School on Neutron Diffraction Data Treatment using the FullProf Suite
From 27/07/2026 to 01/08/2026The 2026 School on Neutron Diffraction Data Treatment using the FullProf Suite, which will take place at the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) in Grenoble, France, from July 27 to August 1, 2026.
This first session will be dedicated to diffraction data analysis in Materials Science, with a particular focus on modern approaches for the treatment of complex and advanced datasets.
Further information and application details are available on the school website:

Scientific Scope
The FPSchool aims to provide advanced training in the treatment and analysis of X-ray and neutron diffraction data through intensive hands-on sessions based on the FullProf Suite.
The lectures and tutorials are designed to equip participants with the essential theoretical background and practical skills required to efficiently use the FullProf Suite at an intermediate level. Beyond standard applications, special emphasis will be placed on the latest developments for the analysis of energy-related materials, including the use of FullProfAPP and Faults.
Topics will include:
- Qualitative and quantitative analysis of multiphase materials
- Treatment of in situ and in operando diffraction datasets
- Advanced use of FullProf Suite, FullProfAPP, and Faults
- Complementary crystallographic tools such as the Bilbao Crystallographic Server
The programme will combine theoretical lectures with extensive practical sessions. Participants are expected to bring their own laptop with the FullProf Suite and FullProfAPP pre-installed in order to fully participate in the tutorials.
