First call for InnovaXN PhD projects at ILL

Supported by an H2020 MSCA COFUND Programme, 40 PhD students will study a wide variety of subjects driven by industry challenges, focussed on exploiting the advanced characterisation techniques of the large-scale European facilities in Grenoble, the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility - ESRF and ILL.

The specificity of the InnovaXN PhD projects is that they must involve an industrial partner. Projects will be invited to make use of both synchrotron X-ray and neutron techniques, providing valuable interdisciplinary research for the student and exploiting the complementarity of the EPN infrastructures for innovation. High quality proposals will also be welcome where only synchrotron X-rays or neutrons are exploited.
