Over 100 scientists and industry experts gathered in Grenoble last week for the International Operando Battery Days (OBATT'24).
The event focused on exploring new ways to analyse battery materials using cutting-edge tools and methods, both in-lab and at Large Scale Facilities such as the ILL and ESRF. These tools will help us understand how battery materials behave during real-world use, ultimately leading to better battery performance and more sustainable devices. In this global effort, neutrons can provide invaluable information.
ILL was a sponsor and shared a booth with the European project ReMade@ARI. ILL researchers were present with oral and poster contributions. The conference also provided a valuable opportunity for researchers to share ideas, discuss new approaches, and build collaborations.
Congratulations to the best oral presentation award winners, Erik Lübke (InnovaXN PhD student at ILL) and Corentin RENAIS (LEPMI Laboratory Grenoble).
