NEWCOMER WELCOME ASSOCIATIONS

A number of associations in the Grenoble area welcome new arrivals and offer help settling in.

Some provide practical help and advice on housing, health and schooling, and several organize social events, language exchanges as well as activities for families and children.

Accueil des Villes Françaises (AVF)

AVF depends on volunteers to welcome newcomers to French cities, whether they be French or foreign. Their goal is to help newcomers settle into their new environment, both socially and in practical terms. AVF is a non-profit association with a national charter.

AVF Meylan and AVF Grenoble are part of the national association, but they offer different services and activities. For more information, contact them or visit their websites.
