Gas Pressure Cell 09PG10TZ12

This cell is made from TiZr alloy. It has a Ø12 x 57 mm, i.e. 6.4 ml, sample volume and uses helium as the pressure medium. The pressure is generated using a standard gas compressor. For powders, the sample is inserted in a thin capsule made from aluminium alloy (AG3 i.e. EN AW-5754).

The maximum pressure is 100 MPa, i.e. 1 kbar up to 100°C. As it is non-magnetic, it may be used on a polarised neutron instrument or inside a cryomagnet.
