Full Year 2026
----------------------
>> 16 March 2026 : Correction of bugs in Get_Data. Adding PANDA program.
----------------------
- Corrections of bugs in Get_Data when using data from D2B at integrating in 2D virtual
detector. The straight line integration (INTEG_1D) was OK. The execution of the Get_data
program has been integrated into the FullProf Suite Toolbar. It runs from the "Programs"
menu provided the input *.CFL file is loaded in the Toolbar.
- The data reduction program PANDA, designed for powder instruments at the ILL, has been
integrated into the FullProf Suite Toolbar. This program allows users to visualize raw
data from the instruments D1B, D2B, and D20 using NeXus data files from the ILL database.
The program was written in Python using PySide6 by Oscar Fabelo and it is distributed
within the Windows version of the FullProf Suite. The Linux and MacOS version have to be
tested before distribution.
At the moment PANDA is in a testing stage, and some bugs may still exist.
- A new version of the PySide6 interface for the FPS Toolbar has been put in the Web page.
It contains new features of the FullProf Studio program (including now Fourier maps) and
a new interface for the nDatared program. Still in testing stage.
----------------------
>> 25 February 2026 : New version of FullProf. Correction of bugs and more.
----------------------
- The current version of the FullProf program has been updated to:
**********************************************************
** PROGRAM FullProf.2k (Version 8.40 - Feb2026-ILL JRC) **
**********************************************************
- Corrections of bugs in MHall: handling badly written generators or non-existent symbols
for complicated settings.
- Adding the console program "groups08.exe". This is a testing program using all kind of
space groups. The program should be run from a terminal windows and just answer the questions.
The program is able to construct arbiratry space groups from different inputs and calculate
subgroups and coset decompositions.
Warning: Some bugs are still present. In particular, for some complex settings the program
may be unable to provide the correct standard symbol. Moreover the geometric symmetry element
in such complex settings may be wrong.
Communication of new found bugs is greatly appreciated.
- Some advances have been done in the new PySide6 interface.
