Standing with Ukraine

The ILL is an international scientific facility dedicated to peaceful research. We enable visiting researchers from across the world to make new scientific discoveries and solve critical research problems that advance human knowledge and welfare. The ILL was founded on the principle that scientific cooperation between European countries can promote peace.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine goes against the core values of the ILL. Our thoughts are with those suffering from the tragic events that are unfolding, the many refugees, and the innocent victims.

The staff members of ILL come from over 40 countries. Every one of them is a valued member of our community, no matter which passport they have. 

One year after the invasion started, we reaffirm our solidarity with those affected by the war and will promote initiatives to provide support and help.
