Instrument description
IN3 is a classic three-axis spectrometer on a through-going neutron guide (Fig.1). A bi-faced monochromator with PG(002) and Cu(111) with variable curvature allows vertical focussing. The IN3 pyrolytic graphite analyser can be curved horizontally, but also additional TAS analysers and instrumental options are regularly used.
