697 proposals were submitted this round, corresponding to a total request of 4529 days of beamtime.
These were reviewed by the Subcommittees on 15-16 November 2011. 
415 proposals were accepted and will be scheduled during the first two cycles of 2012.

In calculating the statistics of beamtime per country, the attribution is based on the location of the laboratory of the proposers, not their individual nationality.

For a proposal involving laboratories from more than one country, the total number of days is divided amongst the collaborating countries, and weighted by the number of people for each country.

Local contacts are not counted as proposers except when they are members of the research team.
