IntroductionNeutron delivery systems play a major role for the performance of neutron scattering instruments. Taking into account the last technological progress, neutron guide optimization is one of the most efficient ways to increase the performance of an instrument suite.
The ILL holds an International Workshop on Neutron Delivery Systems from 9 to 11 July 2012 at the ILL Grenoble, France. Its goal is to share new concepts of neutron delivery systems for future facilities and to review the state and recent progress in neutron guide technologies: amongst other topics neutron guide design, coating performance substrate materials, ageing and preventive maintenance will be discussed during the workshop.
The workshop is dedicated to engineers and scientists involved in the use, the design and the manufacturing of neutron delivery systems and their compounds. Deadlines Registration: 25 June 2012 Industrial exhibitionAn industrial exhibition is organised on 10 July. It is accessible to companies involved in the manufacturing of neutron delivery systems. The exhibition will be accessible to all workshop participants as well as to the staff working at the ILL.
Please contact Mrs Valérie Duchasténier for more information. ILL and ESRF guided tourAn ILL and ESRF guided tour will be organised on Wednesday 11 July at 2pm.
