Abstracts and Publication

ABSTRACTS:

abstracts can be submitted by e-mail to confit(at)ill.fr and should be camera-ready:

- desired file format: PDF

- Size: one page maximum
- Font size: 12pt, double-spacing

The decision about acceptance of the abstracts will be sent by e-mail to the first author (see deadline for acceptance).

Participants agree that the accepted abstracts may be published on our conference Website.

MANUSCRIPTS:

As a result of the workshop we will publish a special volume on Dynamics in Confinement in 'EPJ - Special Topics', which is accessible in electronic and printed version.

The volume with the provisional title 'Dynamics in Confinement' will contain invited and contributed articles.

invited articles:

We will invite a few participants to submit longer tutorials and/or mini review papers (page limit to be agreed).

regular articles:

We invite workshop participants giving a lecture or presenting a poster to submit one short manuscript of up to 4 printed pages.

The contributions to the Special Topics volume must contain predominantly new material related to a specific topic of the workshop 'Dynamics in Confinement' but may be part of a broader research published elsewhere.  All contributions will undergo a strict reviewing process by specialists in the field involving also external reviewers.

A further acceptance criterium is that we will try to cover the most relevant fields of 'Dynamics of Confinement' within a given page limit for the volume.

Manuscripts have to be prepared using the template of EPJ-ST. Templates for EPJ-ST manuscripts can be downloaded at http://www.epj.org/makro.html.

Figures submitted in colours will be published by default in colour online and in b/w in the printed version. Authors should take care that figures submitted in colour are of adequate quality when printed in b/w and that the figure captions do not refer to any colour coding. We will not accept colour figures in the printed version, besides the authors will carry the additional cost.

There will be as usual some legal issues related with your publication: A Copyright Transfer Statement and has to be sent together with the final version of the accepted manuscript: http://www.epj.org/_pdf/cts.pdf. The authors have to warrant that the submitted work is original except for such excerpts from copyrighted work (including illustrations, tables, and text quotations) as may be included with the permission of the copyright holder and author thereof and by indicating to the editors the precise source.

Each conference participant will receive free of charge a printed version of the Special Topics volume.

We aim for a publication date of the special volume within 2010, therefore please stick to the deadline for paper submission.

All manuscript have to be submitted to confit@ill.fr.

A pdf document of the manuscript is needed for the review process only. Please follow the instructions above concerning the style. After our note of acceptance the entire file with documents including figures and source files will be needed in addition.
