Associate Members shall contribute towards additional human resources and equipment associated with the PSCM laboratories. An Associate Member shall have the possibility to be the principal investigator (PI) or co-PI in a joint research grant proposal.

Conditions to become an Associate Member:

3.    Associate Members should provide scientific staff (Ph.D. students, post-docs, or sabbatical visitors), possibly equipment, and a negotiated financial contribution to cover overheads.

Potential benefits:

1.    Collaborative access to PSCM facilities commensurate with the contribution.
2.    Associate Members may occupy office and laboratory space at the PSCM premises for extended periods depending on the availability.
3.    Provision for joint ESRF/ILL beam time applications.
4.    Priority for long-term beam application as an Associate Member fulfils the criteria for such projects.
5.    Direct collaboration with ESRF/ILL scientists including limited access to in-house beam time for selected techniques.
6.    Fast track access for outstanding scientific cases within the existing provisions at ILL or ESRF as the case may be.
