The conference will be held at Universitetsplatsen in the very centre of Lund, with lectures and poster sessions at Palaestra next to the University Main Building.

 

Lund is situated in the middle of the attractive and expansive Øresund region - the geographical and economic region composed of Southern Sweden and Eastern Denmark. Lund is one of the oldest cities in Sweden, with a history more than 1000 years old, and has always been a meeting place for ideas and creativity. In Lund you will find the charm of a small town, side by side with the enticements and comfort of a major city, and offers classical museums, art galleries and other sights. Theatres, music and lectures, inviting restaurants and cafés can all be found within walking distance in Lund’s city centre. Lund University (www.lu.se) was founded in 1666. With eight faculties and a multitude of research centres and specialized institutes, it is today the largest unit for research and higher education in Sweden. Travel Information

University main building

Copenhagen airport (CPH) in Denmark is the closest major international
airport with frequent train services to Lund via Malmö. The journey takes
about 45 minutes and the trains depart from the airport every 20 minutes. The
local Malmö airport (MMX) with a few international flights is about 35 minutes
taxi ride away from Lund. Lund has a very extensive network of city buses, which are easily identified by their green colour. Regional public transport is provided by Skånetrafiken which operates both buses and trains. Skånetrafiken's buses are yellow and the Pågatågen - Skånetrafiken's commuter trains - are purple. The direct trains to Denmark “Öresundståg” are grey. Detailed travel information and timetables  can be found here (then select internet pages in english). Tickets for trains can be bought from machines at the stations or at the ticket office. Tickets for bus journeys can be bought on the bus. Note that the public transport is integrated in the Öresund region which means that on the city bus in Lund you can buy a ticket all the way to Copenhagen.

The conference site is within walking distance from Lund railway station.
