INX data transformation programme

INX is a data reduction program (written in Fortran) for time-of-flight IN4, IN5 and IN6) data. It allows data grouping, conversion from time to energy, normalisations, absorption correction, etc.

Input file : ILL TOF data file, Output file : ASCII 3 columns files x,y,dy (see the example).
A graphical user interface (GUI) written in tcl/tk by C. Lacaille-Desse (CS, ILL) is also available:

INX is available on:

  • All TOFHR SGI machines like Lotus (full path for SGI machines = /home/cs/model/TOFHR/exe/inx)
  • Via the web on BARNS.
