ABCstat was developed in 1995 for the type of modern statistical data analysis most useful in practice and especially for linear regression analyses using a variety of approaches. The program was developped for Mac OS classic and designed for easy use and full interactivity.
This application was never ported to a modern operating system. However you can still run it through a tool like SheepShaver (for Linux or Mac OS X)  which makes it possible to install a Mac OS 9.0.4 runtime environment on a modern computer.

Main features

ABCstat eliminates many of the set-up requirements and unnecessary constraints common in similar applications.
It is easy to use and this manual has been organized to help you learn it, and then to find answers to most of the questions that might arise as you use it.

Chapter 2. It introduces ABCstat and tells you how to make a working copy of your ABCstat disk.
Chapter 3. A Quick Tour. Take the quick tour to step through the basics of
using ABCstat to analyze or generate new data and print your results. As you follow the step-by-step instructions, you’ll master the basics required to use all of ABCstat ’s features.
Chapter 4. Using ABCstat . This chapter provides complete information about all ABCstat ’s features.
The Tutorial is intended to give you hands-on practice. Furthermore it contains a collection of exercises and experiments that you can perform with ABCstat and that will help you understand probability and statistical theory concepts.
