Neutron Optics

The ILL's Neutron Optics Service develops and manufactures highly sophisticated optical components for the neutron instruments that guarantee the ILL's leading role in neutron scattering. It supplies the know-how and analysis and production capabilities for monochromator and analyser crystals, converging guides, bandpass and polarising 3He spin-filters, and supermirror devices.

The service is also involved in collaborative partnerships including training and technical development.
