Annual Report 2011

The ILL Annual Report 2011 has been published. Contact us if you wish a copy or consult the on line version. The deadline for contributions to the next Annual Report is 1 October 2012.

Use of site entrance badge at ILL/ESRF common restaurant

Your site entrance badge will now be used instead of the canteen card for the payment of meals at the ILL/ESRF common restaurant. This is intended to offer you a better and simplified service.

You can charge your badge or get your money back at the cash desk, as with the previous magnetic canteen card.
The cash desk is open during mealtimes and also from 9.00 to 11.00, and from 13.30 to 15.30, Monday to Friday.

3rd ILL Millennium Symposium and European User Meeting, 15-17 September

At the end of 2008, the first phase (M-0) of ILL’s modernisation program was completed, delivering 6 new and 8 upgraded instruments and improved infrastructure to the benefit of ILL’s vast user community.
It is timely to review what has been achieved and also to inform the user community about the status of the 2nd phase of the modernisation program. Further details are available on the User Meeting website www.ILL2020-vision.eu

Users are reminded that LAMP, the IDL-based data inspection and analysis application, can be downloaded from the ILL's ftp server. Runtime versions, which can be used without an IDL license, are available for Windows and UNIX systems. HDF data files in the NeXus format can be read and produced by LAMP.
