Before submitting a proposal to the ILL, you are requested to read the guidelines corresponding to your chosen method of submission carefully. They contain information essential for your application and will be useful regardless of the method of submission you choose. Please follow them.
There are different ways of submitting a proposal to the ILL:
- Standard Submission of a research proposal (twice a year) via the Electronic Proposal System (EPS). If you are a new user of the ILL facilities you can find assistance on the ILL Visitors Club for writing your proposal. If you are new to ILL please register as a new member which will give you access to the EPS system.
- EASY access system (EASY) throughout the year.
- Block Allocation Groups (BAGs).
- Long Term Proposals - once a year.
- Director's Discretion Time application (DDT) throughout the year.
- Special access for industrial users is also possible at the ILL (please contact the Industrial Liaison Office for further details).
- CRG proposal
- A common ILL/EMBL deuteration facility is also available to external users. The aim of the laboratory is to provide a focus for European scientists wishing to make their own deuterated materials for neutron scattering experiments.
