The second ILL-ESRF Joint Meeting took place on Tuesday 9 January 2007. This meeting also gathered all people in charge of the sample environment equipments at both facilities. The aim was to meet the colleagues from the other facility, visit the laboratories at both the ESRF and the ILL and discuss some technical issues. We started by a tour at the ESRF during which many discussions were hold on furnaces, high pressure cells and cryogenic systems. After a common lunch, we then have had a tour of the ILL laboratories with some lively discussions on the dilution refrigerators, the ESRF cryostats to be repaired at ILL and the ESRF cryomagnet on loan at ILL.
