Research field and other responsibilities:
My scientific interests are centered on the study of the dynamics of liquids (liquid metals, aqueous solutions, organic liquids......) on microscopic time and length scales. I am interested on the single particle dynamics and on the cooperative motions, known as collective excitations, on such systems. For those investigations I use mainly inelastic neutron scattering techniques (Three-Axis Spectroscopy and Time-of-Flight Spectroscopy). However I also perform complementary dynamical studies by means of other experimental techniques as Brillouin scattering and dielectric spectroscopy that allow to cover a wide time and spatial scale.
Since 2002 I am running in collaboration with the Spanish partners an instrumentation project, IMPS, a multiplexed secondary spectrometer for IN8. The commissioning of IMPS on IN8 will take place on December 2006.
