Reception and integration of students

Reception and integration

On their arrival at ILL students go on a two-hour "newcomers tour" organised by the ILL Recruitment and Integration Group. This is also an occasion to deal with administrative matters (for useful information on administrative procedures in France, see here). At the end of the tour students are put in touch with one of the student representatives. A list of new arrivals is sent to the student representatives and posted on the graduate student web pages to help them settle into the ILL. The Head of the Science Division gives a talk for students on the ILL twice a year, at the point of peak intake in October during the Mini Clip Session, and again six months later at the Clip Session.
The Head of the Science Division's secretary maintains a list of current student names and contact details, and this can be accessed via the intranet.
