The organization of the viva examination is under the responsibility of the student and their home university. The ILL do not cover the travel and accommodation costs of the jury members.

Students are required to inform the ILL once they have obtained their doctor title (giving the title of the PhD and the date of the viva at PhD(at)ill.eu) and to lodge a copy of their PhD with the library. Students may, if they wish, send a pdf version of their PhD thesis to PhD(at)ill.eu. Their thesis will be published on the ILL web here: list of PhD theses

Students are encouraged to remain in touch with ILL after they leave, and share news via the PhD students' web page (http://www.ill.eu/phd-students/home/).
