The ‘Projects and Calculations’ lab (BPC) has mastered the use of powerful simulation tools for many areas of physics. Indeed modelling can be carried out to solve complex problems relating to magnetism, mechanics, thermal studies or neutronics.

 Thanks to our strong scientific and technical skills and experience, we provide a significant added value for ILL's innovative project work. Moreover, we can carry out simulations for all ILL divisions as project leaders or as suppliers, e.g. for specific issues such as radiation protection. We provide a link between all ILL's technical departments and we collaborate closely with DS, DRe and DPT (SMAE, SON, SDN, SANE, SCI).
