The inspection held on 12 November 2008 examined the ILL's management of its waste and effluents. The inspectors checked the Institute's application of the Ministerial Decree of 3 August 2007. This decree authorises the ILL to pump water and to release liquid and gaseous effluents for its nuclear operations in Grenoble. They were then taken on a visit of the facility.
The inspectors noted that ILL's application of the decree was generally satisfactory. They nevertheless asked for explanations as to the adequacy of some of the controls. This inspection raised no significant issues.
