The inspection of 10 May 2007 focused on the testing and maintenance of the ILL's pressure equipment. The inspectors noted the regulations to be applied in this domain and performed a random inspection of the ILL's documentation on the maintenance and testing of its pressure equipment. They also visited ILL areas housing autoclaves.

The inspectors found that the testing and maintenance of ILL's pressure equipment is performed at the statutory intervals.  It appears however that the traceability of the operations can be improved. Particular attention must be paid when periodically testing the safety devices. These tests should be reported in the documents on the site, specifying the type of pressure equipment concerned.
