A great effort was made to configure a data reduction package for FIGARO, thanks to Miguel Gonzales. Several new features have been added to the software, such as the option to select different wavelength ranges for different incident angles. Also, a gravitational correction has been implemented, thanks to Robert Cubitt. The software (temporarily called 'fcosmos' during 2009) is called 'cosmos' and works for both FIGARO and D17 data with the runtime version of LAMP, which can be downloaded here. To run the  program check for live updates (and then restart the program if necessary), extend to classical lamp, select the FIGARO instrument (under the 'LSS' sub-category), and then enter 'cosmos' in one of the text boxes. If you require the latest IDL version of the source code then please contact the instrument responsibles. It's possible that some bugs remain, so if you encounter any problems the instrument running team would be very grateful for your feedback.

New for 2010 is that the version number and last date modified are clearly marked in the header of the cosmos table.  Also, Miguel Gonzales in the Computing For Science group is currently composing a step-by-step description of the mathematics behind the COSMOS code.  In the meantime, we have made a document with short descriptions of recent changes to the code:
