IntroductionNeutron delivery systems play a major role for the performance of neutron scattering instruments. Taking into account the last technological progress, neutron guide optimization is one of the most efficient ways to increase the performance of an instrument suite.
The ILL holds an International Workshop on Neutron Delivery Systems from 1st to 3rd July 2009 at the ILL Grenoble, France. Its goal is to share new concepts of neutron delivery systems for future facilities and to review the state and recent progress in neutron guide technologies: amongst other topics neutron guide design, coating performance substrate materials, ageing and preventive maintenance will be discussed during the workshop.
The workshop is dedicated to engineers and scientists involved in the use, the design and the manufacturing of neutron delivery systems and their compounds. SponsorsThe Neutron Delivery Systems workshop has received funding from the European Community's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) und grant agreement No. 212057 ILL 20/20.
The Institute Laue Langevin would like to thank the following companies for providing financial support of the Workshop. |
