The Computing for Science (CS) group supports ILL scientists, students and visitors in a number of activities including data analysis, instrument simulation and sample simulation.

MacXenonA program for computing the Xenon poisoning of the High Flux Reactor (HFR) of the ILL. by A.Filhol and A. Robert
The input data are the dates and power for each steady functioning period. The main output quantities are the Xenon poisoning, the EFPD (Equivalent Full Power Days) and the "Control Rod Position". The algorithm accounts for both the Samarium et Xenon effects. The Mac OS (classic) version of the program was routinely used by the ILL reactor staff from 1995 to 2004.
