University halls of residence

1/ CROUS ("Centre Régional des Œuvres Universitaires et Scolaires")

The CROUS reception service for foreign students offers accommodation in university halls of residence from February/March to 31st August. Temporary rooms cost from 170 € per month in the older residences (9 m2 with shared bathroom facilities and no fridge in the shared kitchenettes) to 310 € per month in the other residences (12 m2 with en suite bathroom facilities and a fridge in the shared kitchenettes).
Please note that if the length of stay is shorter than one month:
- the rent is calculated on the basis of 11€/ day for a stay of less than 10 days, or 105 € for a half-month (for the older residences)
- for the other residences, a rent of 175 € is payable per half-month only (first or second half of the month).
A deposit will be required of either €200 or €310 on your arrival, depending on the type of room.
Students staying longer than 3 months will need to provide the name of a person in France who will guarantee the payment of the rent; alternatively the entire rent must be paid on arrival.

2/ RESIDENCE DE LA HOUILLE BLANCHE (INPG hall of residence) :

Rooms cost 285 to 350 € per month (shared bathroom facilities and shared kitchenettes, some without fridge). They are usually available from March to August. In order to confirm the reservation, you must first fill out a registration form and return it to the hall of residence, together with a payment of 30 € for administrative fees and a 100 € deposit on the rent. Please note that from March to June, a whole month's rent is payable even if the length of stay is shorter than 1 month.
