The ADAM reflectometer is currently being upgraded. 

The Ruhr Universität, Bochum and Uppsala University are jointly funding the upgrade. 

The new instrument will be known as SuperADAM.


The first step is for the first neutrons to exit the casemate (Spring 2009).  Commissioning will follow.  Certain experimental options will be availabe at the end of the second cycle. The upgrade will be completed by the end of 2009, when the instrument may be considered to be in 'normal operation'.
